S. M. Auto Engineering Pvt. Ltd. commenced operations in the year 1974 as a light fabrication unit. Today, with 6 independent, fully equipped manufacturing plants and 2 more planned in Prithampur and Jamshedpur, S.M.Auto has evolved into a system supplier capable of designing, developing & manufacturing components, assemblies and modules for the automotive industry. To provide system solutions complying with the tightening acoustics and emission norms, SM Auto signed a 50/50 joint venture agreement with J.Eberspaecher GmbH and Co. KG of Germany the 4th largest player in exhaust systems worldwide. Continuous in-house research, joint ventures with international players and consultants from across the world have enabled SM Auto to earn the trust of global heavy-weights such as DaimlerChrysler, Renault and more.
